China Visa | Fast & Easy Application Process for UAE Residents

Let’s take a closer look at the different types of Chinese visas and their specific purposes.

1. Visa Category L helps tourists experience all China has to offer.

• The L-Visa serves as the required document for anyone going to Chinese territory whether for vacation or to see relatives. People can enter China on this visa for 30 to 90 days through a single or multiple entry arrangement. You can stay in China for 30 days on a typical visa but you can extend your visit to explore longer if you want to experience China’s scenic beauty and cultural heritage. When traveling as a group member you require a Chinese Collective Tourist Visa to enter the country.

2. Business Visa (M-Visa) – Travel for Work & Trade

• The M-Visa serves best for travelers who come to Chinese territory to participate in business meetings or trade shows. You can enter China once or multiple times during a period that may reach 10 years under certain conditions. The visa allows business visits to China but restricts workers from taking employment in the country.

3. The Work Visa (Z-Visa) lets you develop your career path in China.

• You will need a Z-Visa to work in China. Before starting legal work in China you need to get this visa through a Chinese employer’s sponsorship. You need to apply for a residence permit within 30 days after you enter Chinese territory with this visa.

4. Student Visa (X-Visa) – Study in China’s Top Universities

• Many students from around the world choose China as their study destination. You need an X1 Visa when you enroll in a Chinese program lasting more than six months. Students attending courses shorter than six months should apply for an X2 Visa. You can study in China under either visa type but must get a residence permit when you stay longer than 6 months

5. Family Reunion Visa (Q-Visa & S-Visa) – Be with Your Loved Ones

These visas enable you to live with your family members in China whether they are Chinese citizens or foreign workers and students.

• The Q1 Visa lets you live with your family members for extended periods exceeding 180 days.
• The Q2 Visa lets you visit family members in Chinese territory for limited time periods up to 180 days.
• S1 Visa: For spouses, parents, or children of foreign residents in China (long-term).
• S2 Visa: For short-term family visits.

6. Transit Visa (G-Visa) – Short Stopovers in China

• You will need a G-Visa to travel through Chinese territory when heading to another country. Major Chinese cities now grant transit access of 72 to 144 hours without a visa but you should check if your destination qualifies before applying.

7. Diplomatic & Official Visa (D, J1, J2, G-Visa) – For Government Officials & Journalists

• The D-Visa allows foreigners who received permanent Chinese residency to stay in the country.
• Foreign journalists need to obtain a J1 Visa for their extended stay.
• J2 Visa: For short-term journalism assignments.
• The G-Visa serves foreign travelers making connections through Chinese airports.

8. The Crew Visa (C-Visa) helps airline and ship crew members enter China for their work duties.

• Airline and ship crew members from international routes need a C-Visa to enter Chinese territory for their work.

9. China Permanent Residence Visa (D-Visa) – Live in China Forever

• Foreigners who receive permanent residency in Chinese territory receive a D-Visa. China grants this visa type as one of its most challenging permits and people call it the “China Green Card.”

The steps involved in applying for a China tourist visa from Dubai

Step 1: Check your eligibility

• The first  step is to determine whether you qualify for a China tourist visa from Dubai. You must  have a valid Dubai resident visa and  passport, as well as proof of your intended purpose of  travel.

Step 2: Gather the required documents

• To apply for a tourist visa, gather the following  documents: your passport, a completed Chinese visa application process form, a current passport-sized  photograph, flight and hotel reservations, and a bank  statement demonstrating adequate cash to finance your  trip.

Step 3: Fill Out the Visa Application Form

• The Tourist Visa Application Form must be completed online. Check that all of the information you supply is correct and corresponds to the information on your other papers. You must also print and sign the form.

Step 4: Submit your application

• You may submit your application to the Chinese embassy in Dubai once you have completed the Chinese visa application form and acquired all of the relevant papers. You must schedule an appointment online and present all of  your documentation to the embassy on the scheduled day.

Step 5: Wait for your visa to be processed

• After completing your application, you must wait for your Chinese tourist visa to be processed. Because processing times might vary, it is critical to apply well in advance of your scheduled trip. Once your visa is  accepted, it will be attached to your passport, and you will be able to go to Chinese territory as a tourist.

• Original passport with a minimum validity of at least six months.
• Valid UAE residence visa with at least 90 days validity.
• A NOC from your company or employer that mentions your joining date, designation, salary, and purpose of travel. It
• should be addressed to the Chinese embassy.
• In case of a business trip, you must produce a copy of your trade license and a self-introduction letter.
• Your recent three passport-size photos are on white backgrounds.
• Bank statements for the last three months.
• You will get bonus points if you have an invitation letter from your friend or family staying in China.
• The invitation letter is mandatory for a business visa.

1. Passport

• Home country passport with a minimum of six months validity beyond the date of your departure from China.
• Signed by bearer
• Your passport must not be older than 10 years (issued in the last 10 years)
• Passport should have at least one or two free “visa pages”
• Undamaged pictures securely affixed with/to passport

2. Photo

• A clear new photo (Should not be older than 6 months)
• It should have a frontal view of the face-covering 70-80% (32-26mm) of the photo.
• Photo should be in white background
• It should show clear facial features and eyes – not covered by hair or glasses frame (3×4 size)

3. Application Form

• Duly filled application form issued by the Embassy of China. Fully concluded in English and signed and dated by the applicant himself ( signed by both parents in case of minors, below the age of 18)

4. When you arrive in China you must have the below-listed documents:
